What is Arthroscopy?

Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used by doctors that offers
an optimal outcome with less scarring and recovery time than traditional surgical
methods. The arthroscope itself is a metal tube with a light at the end and a camera
lens. The camera lens projects images from inside the knee up to a television monitor.
By using the monitor as the "eyes" of the doctor, he or she is able to make minor
incisions as opposed to larger incisions that would be necessary if there was no
camera lens available.
